These Terms of Use govern the use of the official website, accommodation reservations, and accommodation services provided by the traditional Japanese house guesthouse "Hobo-ya" (hereinafter referred to as "the Facility").

Customers who make a reservation through this website agree to these terms and conditions and the conditions of each accommodation plan displayed at the time of booking.

2. Confirmation of accommodation reservation

A hotel reservation is confirmed when the customer enters the required information, completes the prescribed payment procedure, and is notified of the reservation confirmation via a reservation confirmation screen or email.

If there are errors in the information you enter, if payment is not completed, or if the reservation is not confirmed by the system, your accommodation reservation will not be finalized.

3. Fees and Payment

Accommodation fees will be the amount displayed at the time of booking.

For direct bookings made through our official website, we generally require 100% of the accommodation fee to be paid in advance at the time of booking.

We use external payment services such as Stripe for online payments.

4. Minimum age for staying overnight

This facility is for guests aged 13 and older only.

Children under 12 years old are not permitted to stay, even with parental supervision.

If it is discovered at the time of booking that you do not meet the age requirements, we may refuse your stay even after the booking has been confirmed.

5. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: 15:00 - 21:00

Check-out: Until 10:00

If your estimated arrival time changes significantly, or if you anticipate arriving after 9:00 PM, please contact the facility in advance.

If you are significantly late without prior notice, your reservation may be cancelled.

6. About pets

Pets are not allowed at this facility.

7. Regarding the old house and facilities

This facility is an accommodation facility that has been renovated from a traditional Japanese house that is over 150 years old.

Unlike modern hotels, traditional Japanese houses have unique characteristics due to their building structure, such as uneven floors, steep stairs, gaps, everyday noises, external sounds, and temperature differences.

Additionally, some facilities in the main building, such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, and lounges, will be shared.

The rooms in the storehouse have private bathrooms and toilets, but instead of using them inside the storehouse, you will need to go out into the courtyard and use the private facilities located directly opposite.

Please understand these facility characteristics before making a reservation.

8. Cancellation and Refund

For cancellations and refunds, the "Cancellation and Refund Policy" on this website and the terms and conditions of each accommodation plan displayed at the time of booking will apply.

If individual cancellation conditions are displayed for each accommodation plan, those conditions will take precedence.

9. Cases in which accommodation may be refused

Our facility reserves the right to cancel a reservation or refuse accommodation in the following cases:

・If the guest is under 13 years old. ・If false or significantly inaccurate information is registered at the time of booking. ・If payment for accommodation has not been completed. ・If there is a risk of causing significant inconvenience to other guests, neighbors, or the operation of the facility. ・If there is violence, threats, intimidating behavior, or other similar acts. ・If there is an act that violates laws or public order and morals. ・If there is a risk of intentionally damaging the facility, equipment, or furnishings. ・If there are other unavoidable reasons for safety or other reasons.

10. Building Rules

Guests are requested to follow the signs, notices, and instructions posted throughout the building, as well as any instructions given by staff.

Please be considerate of other guests and neighbors in the common areas.

Especially at night, please refrain from making loud noises, causing other disturbances, or engaging in any other behavior that may bother other customers.

11. Prohibitions

The following actions are prohibited:

- Actions that violate laws or public order and morals - Actions that cause a nuisance to other customers, staff, or nearby residents - Damage to facilities, equipment, furnishings, etc., due to intent or gross negligence - Allowing more people than the reserved number to stay without permission - Unauthorized business activities, resale, or transfer of reservations to third parties - Bringing in dangerous goods or items prohibited by law - Any other actions that the facility deems inappropriate

12. Damage to facilities and equipment, etc.

If damage occurs to the building, facilities, equipment, etc., due to the customer's intentional act or negligence, the customer may be responsible for repair costs, replacement costs, and other actual damages incurred.

13. Valuables and lost items

Please manage your valuables at your own risk.

Except where required by law, this facility is not responsible for any loss, theft, or other incidents that occur within the premises.

Lost and found items will be handled in accordance with the law and the facility's operating policies.

14. Force majeure etc.

Due to natural disasters, accidents, power outages, transportation disruptions, infectious diseases, requests from government agencies, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of this facility, we may be unable to provide all or part of our accommodation services.

In such cases, we will make individual decisions based on the circumstances and relevant laws and regulations.
