Hobo-ie is a guesthouse that has been renovated from a traditional Japanese house that is over 150 years old.
While cherishing the traditional beams and pillars, the comfort of tatami mats, and the warmth of wood, we have equipped our inn with all the necessary facilities so that travelers can stay with peace of mind.
While it may not offer the complete soundproofing or the comforts of a brand-new hotel, this traditional Japanese house provides a tranquil space where you can relax and unwind.
Main house
1st floor: Reception and entrance
When you've almost arrived at the house, please come to the entrance on the first floor of the main house.
We will provide you with check-in information, a tour of the facilities, and key distribution here.
We welcome you to our reception area, where you can feel the warmth of wood, and begin your journey at a leisurely pace.
2nd floor: Shared lounge and kitchen
On the second floor of the main building, there is a shared lounge available for all guests.
You can plan your trip, relax, or enjoy conversations with other guests.
This shared space, which feels almost like home, is a natural gathering place for travelers from both within Japan and abroad.
Enjoy your time as you please in the warm, inviting atmosphere of this traditional Japanese house.
2nd floor: Shared bathroom and shower
The main building has a shared bathroom and shower room available for guests to use.
We keep our facilities clean and tiring so that you can rest your body after sightseeing and traveling and relax.
As this is a shared facility, please be considerate of other users when using it.
Please note that the rooms in the storehouse are equipped with private showers and toilets.

We maintain our facilities daily to ensure they are clean and pleasant for your use.
As this is a shared facility, please be considerate of the next user when using it.
We kindly ask that male customers also sit on the toilet seat when using the facilities.
A whole storehouse with dedicated facilities

We have a private bathroom and shower room available for guests staying in our storehouse-style rooms.
The bathroom and shower room are not located inside the storehouse itself, but in the room directly across the courtyard from the storehouse entrance.
As this facility is exclusively for our guests, you can enjoy a private and relaxing stay.
Additionally, guests staying in the storehouse can also use the shared facilities, such as the common lounge on the second floor of the main building.
Toilet for use in the storehouse
Guests staying in the storehouse rooms will have access to a private toilet.
The location is not inside the storehouse itself, but rather in the room directly across the courtyard from the storehouse entrance.
This toilet is separate from the shared toilets in the main building and is exclusively for guests staying in the storehouse.
Please note that you will need to pass through the outdoor courtyard before using the facilities.
